Scholarships given to children of dead and wounded
soldiers

Veteran’s organization of Ho Chi Minh City
and Aprotrain-Aptech Computer Education Center together
promulgate the program: “Gifts on 27 July”. This is a
program of “repaying the favour” to families of dead and
wounded soldiers, which will be promulgated annually
from this year.
In this program, seven scholarships with total value of 150
million Vietnam dongs, including two full scholarships
for 2 year Programmer Vocational Training course and
five
scholarships for 1 year course will be awarded to
children of dead and wounded soldiers. Besides awarding
scholarships, from this year, Aprotrain-Aptech Computer
Education Center will deduct 20% of tuition fees for its
students who are children of dead and wounded soldiers,
studying at the center.
Also on this occasion, the center will issue free study
cards to students who are attending newly updated
courses to assist their studies or their works.
Mr. Dinh Tri Dung – Director of Aprotrain-Aptech Ho Chi
Minh City says: “Industry of Information and Technology
(IT) bring out a lot of changes in many people’s lives
in various countries (typically in India). For Vietnam,
as a developing country with density population, IT is a
good chance for people to escape from poverty and
backward. Achievements we have nowadays thanked to the
sacrifice of many generations. As a result, we would
like to offer vocational courses for children of dead
and wounded soldiers to help them have their own stable
jobs.”
