Tuan "Aptech" – a name has become
popular when someone talks about Pham Minh Tuan who has
helped the international programmer training system of
Aptech remarkable in Vietnam.

"“Success
is from whatever one likes to do”. His statement is very
simple, but in fact it is not very simple to uphold
one’s internal force.
Success of a "layman"
“I will be very tired if I am not allowed to work in one
day only”, a 33 year old boss vindicates for his busy.
At present, he is President of Board of Directors of
Aprotrain Corporation which is specializing in training. He
has also started with another project: Asia Fabrics &
Crafts Company in America, which is specializing in
producing and selling Vietnam’s handicrafts. For this
man, business opportunity is always abound in.
Seeing his working results todays, little knows at the
starting point in the past 4 years, he was a “layman” in
the world of Information Technology.
Graduated from a University in 1994, he was employed at
a State Corporation dealing with ships. Refusing the
easy, “clean” works in Hanoi capital, he went to
anywhere he could and tossed with many projects in Hai
Phong, Quang Ninh… He threw himself into jobs which were
refused by others. Being resigned for years but he
received not little expensive and useful lessons in the
University of Life. He became mature together with
trading and management activities since then.
After finishing a training course in Denmark, he
participated in a software development company. In the
mean time, he recognized the serious shortage of human
resource in the industry of information technology.
Demand was too high but supply was just as "salt in the
sea". He planed a project in training international
programmers. Together with other shareholders, he set up
Indochinapro Company and undertook the position of a
General Director. He was 29 years old that year.
"It could be considered the great development in my
career. This job helped me to uphold all my capacities.
Through 2 months preparation, in November 2001, Hanoi -
Aptech Computer Education Center at 56
Nguyen Chi Thanh was born", he recalled. "I highly
appreciated the contribution of cofounders and first
employees working with me. They had tried their best to
overcome this difficult stage with me.".
In 2003, the second Hanoi - Aptech Computer Education
Center on Nguyen Trai Road, Hanoi came into operation.
Within 4 years, these two establishments of Hanoi -
Aptech have attracted about 3,000 students. Aptech
graduates all had employments.
The first Aptech Computer Education Center in Vietnam which was FPT
- Aptech
has been established since 1999. Untill Indochinapro
entered Vietnam, the image of Aptech has become more
"mature" in the awareness of the public. The training
scale has been multiplied; the number of student has
been increasing dramatically and Aptech system has been
more and more expanded, especially in the North area and
Hanoi.
Not standing there, when recognizing almost domestic
enterprises were lack of qualified sale officials, he
set up Thames Business School on
the basic of cooperation with Informatics - a leading
training group of Singapore.
Many people believe that he is talented to do "market".
When talking about this, he does not deny the important
role of marketing. However, is that all behind his
success which has been all recognized by the whole
society?
“A Japanese style”
A profound impression in his mind was the working style
of the Japanese people. He shared with the thorough
lesson: People said the room was clean and it was really
clean if we looked it over. However, Japanese would
touch the top of the wardrobe where nobody could see and
showed the dust trace. The room was therefore not clean
at all. The Japanese people cleaned the glass doors
without leaving their fingerprints. They labeled
packages very straight that sometimes our Vietnamese did
not take into consideration.
The above examples indicated that Japanese people worked
in a very specific and detailed way. They could see
whatever others could not. They tried all their best in
their capacity. "I observed them and learned from them.
For this reason, I became harder and stricter with my
employees. Many staffs could not tolerate and sometimes
they cried. However, most of them felt grateful to me
after that", he did not conceal his pride.
Entering his work with a great indulgence, though he
does business but he does not put the target of money
earning to the highest position, he passes his passion
to his colleagues. Whatever he does must be good, otherwises he does nothing - such priciples are repeated
to his employees.

“When
looking back, I always found myself yesterday
to be very small. I then rushed into work ahead with
the desire of affirming myself and getting more records."
"I am a positive. Hence, my spirit enegy is always
plentiful that help me to work without tired."
"I am very grateful my fate giving me a gentle wife who
allows me to go anywhere. At present, my wife and my 15
month old son are residing in America. Sometime, I help
my wife look after our son... through webcam", he confides.
On these year ending days, Tuan and his partners are in
hurry to complete the last works to put Aprotrain -
Aptech Computer Education Center at 285 Doi Can St.,
Hanoi into operation. Together with this project, his
first hand made product trademark is estimated to
present in early 2006. Taking maximum advantage of
technology, he expects to establish an effective online
sales network.
Revealing his plan in the very near future, software
development might be his next trial step.
